Freeze!
I found this piece of news interesting, and all I can say is pay close attention to your neighbors and be aware of your surroundings! My reason for this warning is that in the Virgin Islands, many court cases are being held so that the estate of Jeffery Epstein can be accessed and dispersed. The government doesn’t know what to do and seems to have kept all assets frozen for a while. Now, they are just trying to find a way to recover from this sad situation. Remember to say something if you see something! You never know you may be saving a life!
Too old for these games!
You can’t make these things up! Why, at the age of 76, are you imprisoned with a 1.5 million dollar bail bond? No joke, Marbys, this senior citizen or former CLICO Chairman, was charged with fraud, money laundering, and pretty much stealing from the crown and the Barbados government from like 2008. “Lord have mercy!” I guess he thought he would get away with his crimes; seriously!
He should be playing golf somewhere at his age, not sitting in a jail cell waiting for his arrangement to be made. For stealing a staggering 3.33 million bds dollars (x2 for US equivalent amount) from CLICO International life insurance limited. I don’t know, Sir, I just don’t know.
“Big Brother“
Typically when you can’t receive a call or send one on your cell phone, something is wrong with your carrier. Just saying! New Years’ Eve day was a struggle for me when my carrier updated their coverage and joined forces with other companies. That was frustrating, but purposely not using your phones as a form of protest?
That is exactly what happened in Ghana on the 8th of February. The reason? Subscribers were asked to re-register their sim cards. A process that seemed to have started back in October 2021; and is coming to an end shortly. This is the carrier’s attempt to reduce or remove cyber fraud, and track or monitor criminal activities that involve using, you got it right your cellphone. Rightfully so, customers protested and insisted that this was an infringement of their personal property, and indeed it is. I just want to know if you don’t re-register your phone, what happens then?
